I'm a partner and Chief Creative Officer at Lowercase Capital where I co-led our early investments in Uber and Blue Bottle Coffee. In parallel, I'm the New York Times Bestselling co-author of “The Essential Scratch & Sniff Guide to Becoming a Wine Expert” and “The Essential Scratch & Sniff Guide to Becoming a Whiskey Know-It-All.” As a designer, artist, and philanthropist, I'm a proud and active member of the #resistance, passionate about issues including clean water, climate, the plight of women and girls, the obesity epidemic, and social justice.
Earlier in my career, I was an advertising creative, helping brands speak to a global audience with thought-provoking wit. Some good luck came my way in the ad business and I won a Cannes Lion, Two Gold Cannes Cyberlions, some One Show Pencils, and a pile of ADCs, D&ADs, The Kellys, Andys, Effies, Webbys, and ADDYs. I was also named an ADC Young Gun, one of AdWeek's “Best Creatives You Don't Know” and have served as a judge for the One Show and the Webbys. It was particularly fun to see my Intel “Rock Star” spot featured as one of TBS's Funniest Commercials of the Year.
I'm an all-American girl who grew up in Mauritania, The Gambia, Swaziland, Japan, and India. I am a trained Muay Thai fighter, certified yoga instructor, winemaker, volunteer, and mom to three kiddos under six, splitting my time living in a blue state and a red state.
